Wondering what you think about this. I've checked many Texas coins and haven't seen any with this defect. Please let me know if it is doubling or mechanical.

It's most likely MD, the devices have shrunk in size. Not a doubled die.

It's Machine Doubling, since the devices are reduced in size, and it's shelflike in appearance.

The doubled dies on the States Quarters are in the center of the design. Doubled ear lobes are what is listed from them for the obverses for business strike coins. Check out Wexler's site to see what to look for on them Save your eyes on them.
