I am slowly gathering more slabbed coins, currently from NGC and PCGS, and am looking for a nice universal storage solution. I have one PCGS blue box, but NGC slabs don't fit quite well in that. I am considering the aluminum "flight case" style boxes that are readily available, like this (20-slab size): 183153468495Does anyone have experience with these who may be able to give opinions on quality and pros/cons? I don't like that they have clear tops, but I can fix that. I want something better than a cardboard box that will hold slabs from NGC, PCGS & ANACS. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks, jbuck. That is not a bad price for that considering the higher capacity and better looks. I should add, I'm not looking for security, just a neat storage solution to keep things more organized and protected from damage.

I'm in the same boat - I have mostly PCGS. Starting to get some ANACS in my collection, and the foreign coins I'm pursuing are more commonly slabbed by NGC. I like the PCGS boxes that hold 20; all the other boxes/cases I've looked at won't fit as nicely in my storage area (specifically, they're too long).

I enjoy seeing my coins.
Sometimes on a rainy day ill pull out a few cases and just appreciate their beauty.
Going back to school time is the time to buy the big 5 inch D ring zippered binders. Plenty of space for your inventory in the front.
9 pocket pages are relatively cheap. About $3 each. Binder about $10-15 for a really nice one. The 5 inch holds 7 pages so each binder can accommodate 63 slabs of any type.
Put a black or white divider between each page. It helps keep the pages from rubbing and you only see the top page as you enjoy your collection.
Get the type with the carrying handle on the spine. Store the binders spine up and there is no weight on the pages as they hang down.

9 pocket slab album pages are available. A 1" thick three ring coin album page binder should hold four pages.
Thicker 2" trade catalog three ring binders may also be available, but four ring binders are better if you can get them. Try office supply stores for these.
I use trade catalog four ring album page binders, but with 20 pocket pages for coins in 2x2 flips. Like Just carl, I do not have any slabs, even for $1,000 coins. For large high value coins, I use re cycled acrylic screw capsules of appropriate size, available from my LCS for 50 cents each.
Trade catalog four ring album binders are constructed in exactly the same way as three ring coin album binders, but they are more suitable for coin pages, due to the potentially heavy weight of an album page, which can hold 20 up to crown sized coins in 2x2 flips.
A page that may be full with 20 crown sized coins can weigh as much as 600 grams, and will put a lot of stress on three album page holes. That is why four ring binders are a better choice for heavily loaded album pages.
Same would apply for slab album pages.

I don't have any slabs. When I get one I break out the coins for Albums.

I certainly appreciate the replies and suggestions! However, saying you don't own any slabbed coins is of little use in this case and irrelevant. I suppose I'll go about it on my own and probably shouldn't have asked the question to begin with.

I think you would be happy with that lighthouse box then, I am know I am. They also make a single row version if you only need 25 instead of 50. Of course you should have asked the question! Ignore Carl, he is just being the feckless clown as per usual.
