Hello so a few weeks ago I found a 1997 D mintmark penny and on the side with Lincoln's face there is a imprint of the Lincoln memorial on the tails side and I've never seen that before so is it possible that it's fake? or did it somehow get struck on the wrong side? Any help would be greatly appreciated. *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***

to CCF. Looks like glue on the obverse side where another cent once was and left an imprint of the reverse side of the other coin.No added value. John1

to the forum! Looks like leftover glue from when someone glued another cent to it.

To CCF! This is just glue, not an error by any means. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint). Your coin is only worth face value.
Errers and Varietys.
