You are right. It's not a DDO. It's Machine Doubling, since the devices are reduced in size, and it's shelflike in appearance.

1960 had some very nice doubled dies on the motto. So you can get used to view doubled devices on the motto on dimes:

See how you look at the devices on the tops? When you start looking at the sides, guess what you are going to find? Machine Doubling.
