Hi Everyone,

Newbie here. I just started collecting half-dollars (JFK so far) and am requesting a sanity check here for my 1972 D Kennedy half dollar (again, newbie here) :)

I understand that it should have a "FG" on the reverse. The pics I hope show enough but I see a faint FG but just want to be sure. Can someone please confirm? Don't worry, I won't get my hopes up. I'm sure I have many boxes to go throughout my lifetime to maybe see a glimpse of an error or rare coin.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

D

Ps. If you need more pictures, or if they are too blurry, please let me know (give me hints to better shots!) :)

It is due to being struck through a filled die where devices did not get fully struck. Note the further indication of struck thru. grease is also evident on the Stars below the Tail, they are not fully struck neither.

To CCF! I can still see the FG initials a little bit. It's very weak, but still visible.
