I am new to searching coins for errors using a USB microscope, beginning with pennies. Having fun and learning, and my kids like to search with me for a few minutes at least.
Good luck, but realize most of the oddities you see at high magnification aren't significant... coin manufacture is like any assembly line - as long as it's good enough to get out the door...
