1972 D LMC Dryer Coin I Do Believe Or A Greaser. Great Eduational Pics.

I found this odd looking 1972 D LMC and the only thing I can think of when I see it is a dryer cent or the greatest Greaser of all time! Crazy thing is only the reverse rim is affected and not the obverse rim. It appears flattened on the devises but the cent is the same diameter as it should be. The collar is slightly rounded and it weighs 2.90 gms. Great educational cent.

I feel because the coin is under in weight it was altered. The devices smashed a bit, the reverse sanded down a bit. It may have been a Struck Through Grease, but the flattening of the devices. show me it was altered. So I guess you have an interesting coin, but PSD. sorry

Yes sir, Mr. Coop. I knew it was an interesting cent. I just thought I would post it for educational purposes. When I first started getting serious about errors and collecting them this past November and saw this then, I would have thought I hit the jackpot!

Looks like alteration after minting. Squished rather specifically, too. I can understand why you would ask.
