The variety vista site is amazing! However, I am at a lose when it comes to understanding the numbering system. For instance I see 1964 DDO-002 PR-2-O-V-CCW FS-101. I know the DDO stands for double die and PR is proof but what is the rest telling me?

Another one is labeled 1964 DDO-035 PR-35-O-II-C and leaves more confused lol. I found a key but the key lacks quite a bit of the abbreviations being used and doesn't seem to stick with the same ordering.

I believe I may have figured out my confusion. Variety vista is listing multiple designations of the coins. For instance 1964 DDO-002 is one, PR-2-O-V-CCW is another and FS-101 is the final. With this in mind I was able to figure out the key here: http://www.varietyvista.com/01c%20L...20System.htm

CONECA's system will take some getting use to, but I like how it works so far.

I own a couple of the CPG books, very enjoyable reads. They were my introduction to varieties.
