Hey Guys-
I am only posting a pic of the Reverse because there is not much to see on the Obverse LOL. I like to mine small corroded junk ancients because that is where the gems still are. You have to sift through hundreds of junks to find that one gem. So, what do you think? A Nepos? 9mm and 0.8 grams. Let me know-

Only two possibilities really
It's either Zenonis or ......
Julius Nepos

I am inclined towards the later
I see no horizontal across the bottom
Nice find
Too bad about the obverse
But still worth a "thrill" !

You have to sift through "hundreds" to find these ?
Better man than I !
I search through thousands !
Still haven't found a J Nepos though .......

The thrill of the hunt and bagging the elusive is what it's all about
Any fool can shop through an expensive overpriced inventory
But going out and "digging up" one for yourself is what real ancient collecting is about.

I guess it's unanimous !
2-0
A win is a win is a win

I picked up a Gepid issue Theodoric Æ last week
(retrograde Anastasius Obv with reversed Theo monogram Rv)
Sometimes it feels like we reliving the 6th century !
Guess I will save myself the bother of posting it
