Hey Guys! Curious of what the value of this coin might be! Looking into broadening my knowledge of coins into errors and banknotes! Thanks!

Seller is asking $120.00 or a trade that I have $160 into. I'm looking for more long term investment. Is that figure way out of the picture? Also thanks for your reply!

Yes, $120 is way too much.
$50 is about right, maybe even less...

The modern Canadian 1c or 5c off centre errors usually dont bring in more than around $50...
the silver 10c or 25c off centre errors will bring around $100 or so...
Seller is overpricing the 5c significantly

Most experienced collectors would reason around the $50 value, with this amount of offset.

There are many spectacular errors from the mid 1970 to mid 80, some dealers had a mint connection in the Hull branch for really cool made to order, collect offsets or any major errors in 50 cents, dollar or toonies they are always rarish. The value suggested by previous collectors are bang on, this coin almost cost more to slab, and always a good welcome !

Also not a huge off strike, save your 150 and find a better option or lowball the guy at 50-75 depending on how bad you want the coin.

Is that large, long scratch on the holder, or on the bottom of the obverse (on the coin)? If the latter, it would greatly affect the price...
PS - errors are not necessarily the best coins for long term investments...
