I'm almost sure all of this doubling is MD, but I wanted to verify. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Also, is there any correct and safe way to remove the fingerprint?

I've been finding them as well, I think it is just Die Deterioration VLDS. Mine are all Denver as well and unfortunately no way to remove the fingerprint.

That should pretty much tell ya that something is amiss (because I was like, no way could I be this lucky) but you can see how badly struck (mushy) the devices and design are.

It's Die Deterioration from a worn die, and it also shows Machine Doubling.

Meow thinks its pretty cool. So MD is not worth anything? You don't see stuff like this often, Meow thinks.

Yes, Machine Doubling is worthless, but you can still save them if you would like. This happens all of the time, so it's very common.

NocturnalJay,
Finger prints are forever unless you dip in pure acetone immediately after "you" put them on it. What is your coin pic taking set up? I see lots of glare.

Thank you for all the replies. Hopefully in the future I will have a trained enough eye to help someone else like me. Coin Community has been an amazing forum.

Fortunately I know better to handle coins with lint-free gloves and by the edges. I came across this one, with a fingerprint already on it, sorting through a family member's change jar.

As for the camera set up, it is just a cheaper digital microscope off of ebay. It has 6 led lights around the camera.

You need to block off all but the one at 12K,and put a filter on that one. That is what I had to do on mine.
