I should complain about not finding stuff more often. I said I had been through half a box of pennies and not so much as a spiked head and 10 mins later found a nice cracked skull on a high grade 2006. Then made another comment in another post that that's all we found 3/4 of the way through the same box and five mins later found this little guy. Its my second "best of variety" DD on wexlers and it's the same one I found a couple months ago. I have it soaking right now and haven't watched it definitely yet but I believe it's the WDDO-006. I forgot to get a pic of the whole front of the coin but you get the idea. This is what keeps you coming back for the blurry eyes and crink in the neck.

Nice find. I'm still trying to find my first Shield Cent DD. Was this one visible to the naked eye or did you have to look at it under a loupe before you saw anything? It just seems like such a small shift that it would be hard to notice unless you really looked.

CoinBuffalo, once you find one of these, it's not hard to see it at all. It will jump right in front of you, when you find one. :-)

Thanks everyone! I just got home so I'm gonna try to match it. To be honest Buffalo, I look through the rolls and pull out everything that looks to be high grade at first and pile the banged up ones together and go through those later. This one didn't even look that good and I'm not sure why I had it set aside. I almost think it just rolled over to the better condition pile. At the right angle you can see it pretty decent with the naked eye but I didn't even do that first. As soon as you see it in magnification there is no question. It's not even close. Like I said, I've found 2 2011's in as many months so I kind of look forward more to the shields now cause they are usually in way better shape. The only advice I have is to talk crap about how you haven't found anything yet and maybe you'll luck out like I did. Speaking of which, I can't believe I haven't found a MS-60+ 1955 DDO.

Also, the pics don't even do it justice. It looks way more severe in person, just could get the perfect angle

It's WDDO-002 on doubleddie.com. The matching has been already done for you. http://doubleddie.com/431101.html

I actually made a mistake. The first one I found was 002. I don't know why 006 was stuck in my head. I didn't even look at my other one last night but they are both 002. They both have the die chip on the E. I knew it was the big one for that year.thanks foe the input though everyone
