You mean at 45degree angle on edge? That's MD as well. MD is a machining bounce, it may "shelve" like what you're used to seeing, or "slice"like here. Think of it like a hammer hitting a nail... It bounces to release energy. It will land not in same spot, with different angles and forces. It can bounce slightly numerous times as it bleeds off the energy of motion. (physics) I used to be a carpenter, we'd use this energy to help pound in a nail in two or three whacks.

ahh, where's the split plating? That I'm NOT seeing.

Yellzabof, PM me and I'll send you my book on how to help recognize the buggers. You PM feature is off(in profile)

The 1st picture looks like Split Plate Doubling, but maybe it's just an illusion.

Yellzaboff- I had the same problem when I first started out. Every time I looked at a coin it was a DDO / DDR, but in reality was just MD or DDD. I found the best thing to do was to 1) control my enthusiasm, 2) put the coin away for a few days 3) study the information on DDO / DDR VS MD/DDD provided by the experts on this forum 4) take another look at the coin. This time from a calm and objective point of view. 5) post coin on CCF for confirmation. The first correct identification of a DDO / DDR is the hardest. Keep studying and looking. You will find them. They are out there!

At the top of the page there is a box marked TOOLS, click that.

Then select "Manage your Profile".

Enter you user name and password.

Under contact information you will see your email address that they have on file and below that a box labeled "Allow Forum Members to send you E-Mail" make sure that box says YES. Then click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.

It may also be possible that with only 63 posts you may not have enough to allow emails, I'm not sure about that. If there is a minimum use the instructions I gave once you do have enough.
