Here we have a zero feedback seller on ebay attempting to sell a Cheerios Sacagawea dollar that his grandfather gave him. The original images were, of course, too blurry to see the tail feathers of the eagle.

When potential bidders asked for clearer images, the seller responded: "I can't zoom in more than that but if that's a problem please tell me. If no one wants to bid I will just take the post down."

But I guess when nobody bid, he apparently uploaded an image from the internet today and wrote: "I was able to get a closer picture of the tail. Sorry it took so long ebay bidders."

Well, the auction ends tomorrow and the bids have started to pour in. As I'm writing this, the auction has received 23 bids, with a current high bid of $51.

Also note that the "Seller does not accept returns."

What's wrong with people?

Wow, what an idiot! I can't believe that seller is trying to sell this as a Cheerios Dollar. The pictures suck, and the last picture appears to be downloaded from the internet. Don't bid on this auction. Another reason why ebay gives the coin collecting hobby a bad reputation.

I like where he says he turned down $700.00 from a coin shop.
Rest in Peace

Before you decide to pile the egg on your feces, you may relly want to find out about the underlying "scam" of this "error". It is quite REAL, prices have been actualized, there is a market albeit very small.

PROBLEM BEING:

Even with the additional pix of the tail, I am more concerned with the mint mark. It sure looks like a D to me...the Cheerios Sac is PHILLY ONLY!

Cheerios-Dollar-Scammer

Final point...buyer is protected by ebay and gets return on money, for $100 risk, if it is the Cheerio Sac, you can turn around for a few buck more!

Hmmm...the hyper rare 2000-D Cheerios dollar.

Good eye, Crazy.

I'm glad the listing was removed. I bet the bidders are mad though.
