Hi I found this quarter today in my change.I thought it looked different then others.I looked it up online and I'm thinking it could be an error coin because of the round edge i's flat and gone.so I just wanted to get a second opinion. Can you tell me what you think about it. Thanks

It looks like it was put in a rock tumbler. Maybe it spent some time in the sand at the beach or in a river or something. Is it pretty smooth?

Or spent too much time in the casinos or vending machines. Put it back to work.

It's not an error. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint). It was damaged outside of the U.S. Mint. It's worth face value.
