I am not an expert, but the edge of this coin doesn't look right. It almost looks like someone did this with a grinder. or something? Thanks

You are correct, this was altered post mint. The telltale sign is the folded over metal onto the rim of the coin, someone took a sander to it or something. You would also expect to see weakness on the area directly opposite the clip, but you dont see that here.

Yep. Unfortunately, it's Post Strike Damage, since it was damaged after it left the U.S. Mint. Someone grinded it down with a sander.
