Picked this up for $106. Pictures are all of the same coin. Thoughts on grade and problems? Thanks!

XF45. Reverse stronger than the obverse.
Rest in Peace

Pros : Full liberty , Clean face .
cons : Very weak obverse & reverse rims NOT from wear .
A little unsure in grading this coin ,but VF-30-EF-45 .
Interesting , price is right .

EF-40, discolored area on obverse takes away from eye appeal.

XF40. If you get it, look at the 6 numerals in the date, it looks like an RPD 66/66 to me.

Thanks! I bought the coin yesterday and should have it mid-week next week.

Russ Doughty and Kevin Flynn run an Indian cent variety attribution guide online. Their guide shows eleven 1866 IHC rpd varieties. Not all of them have pictures so I wasn't able to attribute it. I was able to enlarge the date to attempt the attribution.

Could just be junk or PMD but the 2nd 6 looks repunched to the northwest above the left of the top curve and to the northeast from the right lower outer loop.

I suppose that could match RPD-008 with the following diagnostic, but there are other rim markers for this variety that are missing on this coin.

Looks like the RPD-008 to me, but we'll see when you get in-hand. If it does turn out to be the RPD-008 that's a nice bonus on an otherwise nice coin.
