Can someone please help me. I am not an expert or even anything close to it but this Penny seems odd. The first thing I noticed was the edge of the penny.[/img] There is an overlapping zinc feature on the head side of the penny yet on the tail side of the penny is copper which goes under the zinc. On the backside of the penny[/img] there is a notable recess that is deeper than other pennies. On the front side of the penny[/img] the mint mark seems as if there is either two of them or distorted in some kind of way. I apologize for the poor quality of my photos. atg707 Enjoy the hobby and the learning process. The experts want to see your pictures. First, look at the contents of your posts to determine what the experts are talking about then go back to the image tutorial and redo the uploading of your images/pictures. It took me a while to get acquainted to the uploading process. Don't hesitate to ask questions and help...answers will be delivered accordingly by the experts... again to CCF!

What you have here is a damaged coin. It happened after it left the U.S. Mint.

Mangled coin - most likely stuck inside of a commercial laundry machine.
