I bought this 1945 Winged Liberty(Mercury) dime for about $5 recently. I liked it because it has nice toning for the most part.

Any idea on the grade?

Its a common date, but the toning is rich. The back seems to have a nice strike too.

Technical Grade 63. Eye Appeal 6/10. Not FSB.

I actually had to google what fsb was. I didnt know that. The top and bottom bands actually have separation, but the middle one is mostly smooth. The left of the middle band has a bit of separation but not much.

I learned something new. Didnt know FSB Mercury dime were worth that much with full band separation.

Thanks!

Pics are overexposed, but I'll say MS-62, not FSB.

Looks like ms62 to me too although some of the chatter on the obverse may be damage.

A 1945 ms62 dime is worth about $6. An ms62fsb coin would fetch $1,800 and likely more. The 1945 Mercury dime reverse dies were worn and there are very few sharp strikes around.

Not the best pics to grade from, but 62 sounds about right.
