Pulled this out of a roll today, at first I thought it was a genuine printing error - but as I looked at it under the loupe, I think someone was trying to get creative with nail polish.. Too bad, I would have called it the "eyeball" variety.. Buuuut... just to be sure - no one else has seen another example of this?

Looks like someone with too much time on their hands. A soak in acetone should do the trick.

Agree with John1-
Whoever did it was pretty sloppy.
Wouldn't bother cleaning it though.
It would still only be worth quarter.

I would call it altered as opposed to damage.
If I was to remove the red paint/nail polish,
there would be no damage to the coin.

You could try to market this as a rare one-of-a-kind rare error produced by the RCM. but that would be the terrible thing to do, go buy yourself a gumball! haha
