This very corroded coin has little left to identify it, but does anyone know who would have had a string of pearls under his chin?

Perhaps Gallienus, Jupiter reverse? (I would think it's a beard)

Thanks! Looks like small variations on the same coin. The one you sent makes it look a bit like a pearl strap under the crown.?

I suspect it's just the stylized rendition of the lower part of the beard. Easier to see here: https://www.coinproject.com/siteima...12332q00.jpg

But, as always, I defer to the Roman collectors on this board. They know their stuff.

BobL is right, one of the features of Gallienus is his Neckbeard.
There is also the remains of the legend behind the bust that reads GALL, plenty there for a correct ID.
