Locate some unopened old bank rolls of 74 P and D and start comparing differences its amazing. On the cover of "The Authoritative Reference on Lincoln Cents" by John Wexler and Kevin Lynn they chose the lowly 1974 cent and I bet for good reason I for one love this crazy year. Good question though I had to spend several hours studying material and learning to read in hand coins to figure out the difference. I highly recommend Wexler and Flynns book as a trove of information about our beloved Lincoln Cent. Report this Post to the Staff
