So what do you guys think of the new satin finish coins that the HSN devils are marketing so heavily?

Huge mistake?
Great Idea?

Post your thoughts...

Are you referring to the ones coming from recent mint sets? I don't think that it's anything specific to HSN or are you referring to something else?

I just never heard of them until HSN started marketing them...
They are making it sound like they are ultra-rare and will increase in value exponentially over the next few years.
Sorry for the poor wording, I was just wondering if they were really going to grow in price.

The ones that HSN are selling are hugely overpriced compared to the ones sold through the US mint. Take a look at the Presidential dollars here: http://www.hsn.com/collectibles/200...6919_xp.aspx. Compare this to the US mint set which has the same Presidential dollars plus all the other 2007 coins including all the State Quarters: http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...ory_rn=10211. All US uncirculated mint sets since 2005 are using the new satin finish.
