I recently acquired a roll of each from two separate sources. Neither was well stored and the Denver roll looks like it may have been dropped. I'm thinking of just opening them both, cherry picking one or two and giving the rest as gifts. What would you all do? Would you open them or leave them intact? Edited by beachnut 07/25/2018 8:32 pm

If they haven't been stored well then no use keeping them in the roll. Could do more harm than good. I'd go through them and see if it's worth keeping any.

If you find one MS "Wounded Eagle", then it will make it all worth it. Good luck!

Spruett, that's certainly my hope. I'll keep you posted when I get around to opening them.

Open them. Keep the gems. Spend the rest.

I would open it, and keep any error or variety coins you find from the 2 rolls.
Errers and Varietys.

I don't know much about dollar coins. What should I look for other than a wounded eagle?
