Sorry the pics aren't great on this one, I'll see if I can retake them tomorrow with a better camera.

I think I agree with AU58, possibly MS60.

Straight grade for a problem coin by a TPG no longer surprises me. Those hairlines aren't going away.

Quote: ignore those scratches for the most part Sorry, can't ignore those scratches. My grade is AU-58 Details. The TPG could say PR70DCAM and it wouldn't matter. My opinion is that AU-58 Details is correct. Quote:Straight grade for a problem coin by a TPG no longer surprises me. Those hairlines aren't going away.

All I can tell you is that with the coin in hand those hairlines look like nothing more than circulation hairlines, I could be wrong, but they really dont look nearly as significant as the photos imply

Sometimes on gold the light scratches will flash when taking a photo. I am at AU58. A MS61, would not surprise me.

PCGS gave this AU-55. I agree with the grade, but a 53 would have probably been more appropriate. In my opinion the coin is problem free with just some circulation scratches, but to each their own.
