But then it doesn't affect the whole area. some portions of the letters are untouched. Also the Obverse is totally un damaged. Any clue? Report this Post to the Staff

Chase007 Pillar of the Community United States 7512 Posts	Posted 07/27/2018 9:05 pm It is considered PSD (Post Strike Damage) there are numerous elements that could have caused the discoloration, who knows it is nothing special just throw it in with the rest of your Wheaties. Sometimes people put a wet coin into a 2X2. 10 years down the road, it is now green. Who is to blame for this? Report this Post to the Staff

Hmmm, I don't think so, are you seeing a distinct layer of metal atop the devices on the reverse? It almost looks like someone dropped a melted glob of copper onto it. Report this Post to the Staff
