Hi everyone!
I found this 1981D LMC and I am having so much trouble telling the difference!

On your last image. Look at the left side of the devices? Note how the color fades from light to dark. Then look at the right side of the devices? There is not light to fading visible. Why, because on the right side you see Machine Doubling. The affected area is flattened. So the contour of the devices are gone. If this were a doubled die you would see the contour on these devices on both sides of the devices.

Do you note the missing contour on the machine doubled examples? It is always the same color because that area was flattened after the strike damaged by the machine.
On a doubled die, the doubling is on the die. (thus the term)

Definitely Machine Doubling, since the devices are reduced in size, and it's shelflike (flat) in appearance.

Hello ,,I can see now by reading the other replies, that my question would be redondant,, I noticed tho that the R on the reverse side is funk as well as the st in trust on front (speaking of these I uplaoded ,, so basically same answer?
