What can you tell me about this oddity. Certainly is crazy looking. Cant tell the date n no mint.

Kind of looks like a 1983 cent that took a hit from a chisel, knife, flat-blade screwdriver, or something. Also it appears to have lots of zinc gas bubbles.

Certainly didn't leave the mint that way so not an error,

Looks like 1983 with PSD which means it happened after it left the mint. It took a bad hit with zinc rot.

It's a damaged coin unfortunately. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint). There's scratched and pushed up metal in the date.
