Copper ten cash, minted during the the reign of Xuantong (1908-1911, yours is specifically 1909 I believe), from the Sichuan provincial mint. A very common type, yours is like a F+ coin so maybe around $5-10?

I concur with the identification provided above. However, with just under 232 million struck, and taking into account those unsightly rim dings, I'd expect this to be "bargain bin" fare (if coin shops there in the U.K. generally have such as they do here in the U.S.) with a realistic retail value of well less than £1.
