I submitted this coin for the Guess the Price game and wanted to wait until the round was finished to submit for expert grading and thoughts. I think the coin may be over-graded but we'll see what the consensus reveals. TIA. Edit: I should mention that it's in an ANACS holder. Thank you for the responses thus far. Does anyone see any condition issues? What color would you attribute?

Lower right portion of the obverse there is a surface disturbance, also center of the reverse. I would have "details" the coin for improper cleaning but since we are trying to guess what ANACS gave the coin I figured it was given a straight grade.

XF45 and to me it appears to have had cleaning

Okay, you all have convinced me to move up a grade.  My new grade is EF-40 Details, cleaned. Sorry, just can't see a 45 on this one. Probably ANACS graded AU-50 straight. |

You folks are pretty good! ANACS gave this 1828 half-cent EF-40, details - cleaned. The cleaning must have been a while back because it looks like retoning has begun. But, I was thinking it was more in the upper VF range. Thank you for your responses.
