1990 D Quarter Missing Clad - Coin Community Forum

If it were missing the cladding it would all be one color: Also the strike would be weakened on a quarter: Carry it in your pocket for a time and watch it will turn back silver in color. Carry it in your pocket and you will see what will happen. The higher devices will turn silver first, then the fields will darken and look antiqued. The red color will go away with time.
