I don't believe this has been altered by man. I've looked with 10X loop and with the scope at the computer. Reverse is faded also to a lesser degree. My search tells me there are no know errors for this particular coin. I would appreciate y'all's input.

That is a very late die state coin.

The die is nearing the end of its life and is suffering from extreme Die Deterioration and die wear.

Looks like a misaligned die (MAD). No premium above face value for a minor MAD like this one.
