I recently obtained an unusual 1981-S variety Lincoln Cent while searching through some coin rolls and wish to seek out a potential grade for it. As a collector, it almost hurts to even see a specimen that was once of proof quality no longer in a set and heavily circulated, but it was still a unique find nonetheless.

Shame, clear S. Yep, too far damaged to even grade, now reduced to common level coin worth.

That's crazy ,I have never seen a proof coin in the wild that was in that bad of condition . Save it as a conversation piece .

Nice find and it certainly is a roughed up proof.
