What Would Be A Rough Estimation On The Grade Of This Steel Cent.

Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 08/03/2018 7:04 pm Replated steel cents are considered damaged/altered coins and will not be graded. These coins are first chemically stripped and cleaned, then replated with a nickel/zinc or even chromium at times to be so shiny. What was a possible XA/AU coin is now worth nothing more than face value...altho being steel won't make it through most coin counters anymore! Reprocessed / replated steel cents will have a more mirror-like finish with hints of blue or pink. They will not be "frosty". Report this Post to the Staff
