westernsky Pillar of the Community United States 7618 Posts	Posted 08/05/2018 10:49 am Due to the 3-stage printing process this shift in positioning is pretty much unavoidable. You see it a lot in the older series notes. It is not an "error" and is within BEP printing standards . Due to the low condition the note is not worth but a couple of bucks over face value ....IF you can find a collector looking for one! Keep looking though! Report this Post to the Staff

The serial numbers are printed on a separate press after the notes have been printed. There is a lot of movement of the notes from one press to the other so it is not unusual to see slight variations. Report this Post to the Staff
