Hay you could put them up and add what really happened to the coin during the striking process and watch the People try to get off from bidding on the other auction. Maybe the bidders would learn something?
I agree a somewhat common error for 1943. I'm not so sure it is a Struck Through Grease issue. Of the Million or o wheat cents I've gone through in the last 6 years, It IS a very rare occurance in any year. Yet, in 1943 it seems to be somewhat common. I wonder if there was a damaged die? I know I stopped pulling these aside years ago.
