ANother Jefferson nickel with more subtle issues than the last one I posted. Coin is otherwise in near UNC condition, but there are some missing parts of the Monticello design outlined in red (roofline of the pediment, rightmost column, steps) so I am curious what is the cause.
Hey, it's fun poking around on this part of the forum! Learning a lot, thanks to the patience of the experts out here!

Looks like it has taken some well placed hits.
Didn't leave the mint that way so not an error.

If not for the hits, it is in great shape.

It has taken some well placed hits on the reverse, causing the metal to get pushed over and flattened. It's in a Late Die State (LDS), since the strike is not sharp, and the devices are mushy looking.

My thought as well was that the reverse die might be pretty beat. Very little detail to the center of Monticello on a coin that otherwise is sharp in other places.

The issues with the roofline at left don't strike me as typical PMD, but you guys have seen a lot more of this than I have!

Agree, that does not look like typical PMD.
