1960 Jefferson Nickel Reverse. Die Wear/Damage?

Coin is otherwise in near UNC condition, but there are some missing parts of the Monticello design outlined in red (roofline of the pediment, rightmost column, steps) so I am curious what is the cause. Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74640 Posts	Posted 08/08/2018 3:41 pm It has taken some well placed hits on the reverse, causing the metal to get pushed over and flattened. Very little detail to the center of Monticello on a coin that otherwise is sharp in other places. The issues with the roofline at left don't strike me as typical PMD, but you guys have seen a lot more of this than I have! Report this Post to the Staff
