I have found a 1961 nickel with only the obverse. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

To CCF! It looks like the reverse side has been sanded off. If that's the case, than it's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint).

E & V is correct, the reverse has been removed by someone post mint.

the telltale sign is the lack of rim on the reverse, a uniface coin would still have a rim visible.

I agree it seems the reverse was removed after strike. Image is a bit small on my end. Under weight will likely confirm. Normal weight will surly raise more questions. Thanks, Doug.
