Sorry David, if its incuse, something got between the die and planchet. Dont need better pics.

Quote: Sorry David, if its incuse, something got between the die and planchet. Dont need better pics. I'm sorry Tunioc, but I respectfully disagree with you. It's clearly a Struck Through error. If it was stuck under the plating, than it would look different. I'm going to post more pictures anyways. See the trench? It was clearly Struck Through. I'm not trying to argue here, but I'm trying to get my point across.

You nailed with the last image. A lower angle was what was needed.

Thank you Coop! I figured that getting a better picture with a different angle would help. I do have a question for you Coop. Would you like me to get a closer shot, so you can save it for your educational files?

That pic shows it alot better. I corrected myself, not something under the plating, but something between the die and planchet, piece of wood perhaps. Thanks David.

You're very welcome and no problem! It looks like it could be a small piece of wood, maybe a wood chip? I hope I didn't make you feel bad or anything Tunnioc, as it wasn't my intention.

Very cool find. I think you misunderstood what tunnic meant by stuck between the die and planchet(meaning struck through). But all is well in the end.

Thank you Waynoah83! It was a mistake on my end. I misconstrued Tunnioc's comment. That happens sometimes. At least I ended it off on a good note. :-)
