Hi

I have around 150 german coins. I want to photograph and sell the best of them. Where is the best place to research German coins.

Thanks for any help

Thanks for the links Zorah

I used a link I found in a similar post on this site. May have been worldcoingallery. found a KM# for one of the coins (KM#87). What's the next step toward getting an idea of it's value?

Regards

Tom

Next you have to get a grade/fineness on the coin.
THE BEST PLACE is to post pics on this site grading forum.
They will grade your coin. They do an execellent grading.
Then go back to the library and look it up.
Hope this helps and can't wait to see the pics!

I expect the photography to take some time. So wanted to start with the best coins. Perahps I will start with the oldest? Or the 3rd Reich? Will certainly put up on the grading section.

Thank you?

Thank you for the welcome tights. I look forward to exploring more and learning what I can of the subject.

I'd like to clarify that I am more interested in the the methods of coin valuation than in selling. My last dealings with coins was in school. I chose ancient Roman coins as my specialist subject in a school version of "Mastermind" (UK quiz show) which I am proud to say I won! I remember nothing of Roman coins.
Going to post a photo of a 50 Pfennig coin 1920 in the grading forum. Hope the quality is adequate.
