Those who bought for $150 or so, can not be happy now. The mint just destroyed the premium these sets had been getting over the issue price earlier in the year.
I've shared before my opinion that collectors of modern US Mint commemorative products are better off cost wise to wait until the coins are available on the secondary re-sale market ... in most cases the US Mint original price can be beat.
This is an unusual example of the US Mint itself actually offering the same coins at a lower price - but my premise of wait a while still holds with a few exceptions.
