I am curious if anyone has pictures of their coins before and after TPG with conservation, and if there a significant difference in "eye appeal" Thanks

I haven't sent in any coins to be conserved, but I know that several members here have before and after photos. Most recently, someone sent in a 3 cent piece to be conserved. The conservation was able to mostly remove several large stains and improve the eye appeal of the coin, in my opinion.

A number have been shown on the forum in the past, some with disappointing results if I recall. Perhaps one of the original posters will see this.

Hit or miss on the results. I'm not sure it's worth the money to have them tamper with it.

Here's a thread from just a few days ago, with before/after pics of a 3-cent nickel. (Pay no attention to my failed attempt at guessing the grade.)

Alpha2814, thanks for the link, I am impressed with the conservation on the obverse, not so much on the reverse. It shows exactly a 50/50 chance of better "eye appeal"
