i have a 200th anniversary of the constitution coin but it doesn't look like the others I have seen. It has an eagle in front of the sun on the front with the words "power and beauty" and the back has the constitution with with the words. also it weighs 1-1/4 oz not the .999 that is says. is this a rare version?

I am not familiar with it; are you sure it's an official US Mint coin?

No coin matching that desciption can be found in my commemorative book so I am guessing it wasn't minted by government. My guess is it is simply a silver round worth it's weight in silver. If it's an official US mint commemorative, it will have a denomination on it such as Half Dollar or One Dollar.

I'm guessing that's a silver round, where .999 designates the purity. There are gajillions of bullion rounds out there.

1-1/4 oz is an odd weight for a .999 silver round. Either way I'm about 99% sure it's a typical silver round worth silver spot or maybe a little less.

What type of device did you use to weigh the round? Also, what was the weight in grams? Precious metals are measured in troy ounces(31.1g) instead of avoirdupois ounces(28.4g). 1 1/4oz is a very strange size but could be explained by using avoirdupois ounces and an imprecise scale.
