I was going through some wheaties and this 1957 stood out. The diameter is the same as the other wheats but is very thick. pics show it on the scale and next to another decent wheat (1957-D) for comparison.

I am at a loss, any ideas? Thanks for any help! RK

I'm no expert but I thinks it's most likely due to a thicker than normal planchet.

Except for the new lighter total coin weight of 2.5 grams each, these newer coins are identical in diameter and thickness, and nearly in appearance, to the mostly copper (95%) cents issued before mid-1982, which weighed 3.11 grams each.

+/- .13 grams, (1873 - 1982) small cent copper era, same tolerance for the 1943 zinc-plated steel cent

coin is over weight or coin stock rolled thick.

Yes it is over weight or rolled thick stock. How over weight we really can't say because the scale is only good to one decimal place. So the coin weighs somewhere between 3.55 and 3.64 grams. Maxximum weight for a copper Lincoln is 3.24 grams so this cent is somewhere between .31 and .4 grams heavy. Probably just borderline for being worth a premium. I normally say that it needs to be at least .4 grams out of spec.
