Coin weighs 8.23 grams and diameter 17.5 mm. It's been suggested that it's a Maratha paisa or a Mughal fractional dam. The coin did come in a lot of Gwalior paisas, so it's also a possibility that it's a variant of a Gwalior paisa. But if someone knows a more precise ID for this coin it would be greatly appreciated.

The only one that may be able to answer that is Drnsreehar. He has many tutorials about Indian coins and as to varieties, he may know or direct you to a resource. PM him if you can.
