Hey guys, wasn't sure what to call this error because I've never seen a chip like this. What is it and how do you explain it?

Thanks everyone

from what I have seen on here before - this is caused by high heat, like a torch

Heat and intense pressure during minting can trap gas. Or the coin was heated causing PMD.

This is heat damage from a torch. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint), not an error.
