Hi,
Im back with this 1964d LMC "LAM" on the date and noticed that it appears to have a " Cud or Die Crack"(?) on the upper motto device (Obverse). Any and all information & knowledge is welcomed & valued!!

It also may have doubling on the "O & "G".
I'm trying to get clear pics of that.
Interested parties stay tuned. I will post as soon as I get them.

Also, I'm thinking I might sell this coin to explore what that endeavor & process can teach me.
Any thoughts on whether I Should get it Certified?
Do you think Is this coin worth that?
Thanks

it appears to be a Lam issue on and above the 4 of date, beyond that your picture is not clear enough to see what it maybe to the north.
BTW : reverse is referred to the back of the coin not the front. Having said that what your arrow is pointing at looks like it could be a die gouge and not a Cud.
Lastly your coin is just worth face value and does not have a significant premium over the face value to be sent to a TGP.

Sure, send it in to the top line PCGS they'll charge ya a submission fee plus the required registered mail and various other fees, be around $80, maybe even a cheap $100.
! Then you can sell that post strike damaged coin for just what its worth, $0.0079 copper melt for a real steal!

Yes I just, but come on. No insulated error coin, even if a genuine mint error sells for much at all. A member here recently purchased a lot of many BU/MS errorcoins for think it was @ $5-6 a piece, real errors, top condition! The market for real true errors is a small one, if you go by ebay or the facetious Chessypackers guide, they are greatly inflated and arbitrarily set pricing.

Closer pictures would help. I can't tell if it's a Lamination error, or if it's a Struck Through Foil issue.

Better close up pics will help. Looks like struck through or lam on the date, cant tell with the pics.
