First welcome to CCF. Second, you are being told that this is a fake because there are certain aspects which make it very obvious. By way of example, there are multiple places on this piece where there is a tiny bump (the "woman's" neck is a really good example). These bumps do not exist on actual coins because they were struck, but are somewhat common on pieces that are cast, especially if they were made for the tourist trade. Of course, more sophisticated fakes exist and this is a topic of endless discussion for us as many of these are quite compelling (and certainly beyond my abilities to detect).
We have all been bitten by a fake, just as you have with this coin. Hopefully you didn't spend too much on it and can consider this an inexpensive lesson.
