Just wanna make sure this is PMD. Kind of weird someone would do this to a coin but I dont think its a mint error but I want other opinions on this. Than you

Ask yourself- how could the observed condition occur in the mint coining facility?

In this case its quite obvious the answer is impossible - so absolutely post-mint damage.

Thats what I figured.. I did ask myself that question and as mentioned in my post I thought it was PMD.

Unfortunately, the coin is a victim of Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint). It was sanded down.
