2003-Lincoln-Penny-With-Silver-Spot

Found this 2003 Lincoln Penny with silver spot on Obverse in pocket change. Is the spot the result of some damage after minting?

Yes that looks like the zinc core that is supposed to be covered under the copper plating.

And yes @john1 is right that rotating your images is really nice!

the outline of the edges are too sharp for something to have eaten the copper layer, I suspect something has been laid on top and worked into the coin..

That's Zinc Rot corrosion setting in. It's eating away at your coin.
